- Chautauqua and the Flatirons — ten minutes from campus. This is the thing Boulder has that the other shortlisted schools do not.
- Pearl Street — where students actually spend their weekends.

- Flagstaff Road — fifteen minutes up for the whole valley. Worth it at the end of the afternoon.
- The off-campus housing areas — because by second year that is where they will be.
