Seven World Cup races. Two weekends. The largest Birds of Prey festival in the event’s history.
From 3 to 13 December 2026, Beaver Creek hosts four men’s races and three women’s, including a second women’s downhill added to the calendar for the first time. And the racing is free to spectate — which makes Boulder to Beaver Creek World Cup transportation the main cost of the day.

The Race Schedule
| Date | Race | Weekend |
|---|---|---|
| Thu 3 December | Men’s Downhill | First |
| Fri 4 December | Men’s Downhill | First |
| Sat 5 December | Men’s Super-G | First |
| Sun 6 December | Men’s Giant Slalom | First |
| Fri 11 December | Women’s Downhill | Second |
| Sat 12 December | Women’s Downhill | Second |
| Sun 13 December | Women’s Super-G | Second |
The women’s return builds on their landmark 2024 debut on the Birds of Prey downhill track. Confirm the final schedule at the official Birds of Prey site, as it remains preliminary pending FIS Council approval.
Why the Drive Is the Hard Part
Beaver Creek is 128 miles from Boulder, about 2 hours 20 minutes clear. December race weekends are not clear.
You are on I-70 westbound on a Saturday in early December, with ski traffic and race traffic on the same road, heading through the Eisenhower-Johnson Tunnel where CDOT has recorded roughly 2,900 vehicles per hour on peak weekends. Then you need to park at a resort hosting a World Cup.
Race starts are fixed. Nobody restarts a downhill because you are still on Vail Pass.
Arrival Timing That Works
| Race day | Leave Boulder | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday race (Thu/Fri) | 4 hours before start | Lighter traffic, still allow buffer |
| Saturday race | 5 hours before start | Peak westbound ski traffic |
| Sunday race | 5 hours before start | Race plus resort volume |
| Any race in snow | Add 60–90 minutes | Traction law, closure risk |
Speed events start in the morning. That is the reason these departures look brutal — a 5am pickup for an 11am downhill is normal on a Saturday.
The Flat Rate
Beaver Creek is $650, covering the vehicle rather than the seat. Six people sharing pay under $110 each for a day of free World Cup racing.
No surge multiplier, no meter running while the tunnel queue creeps, no race-weekend premium. Every Boulder car service quote is confirmed in writing before you ride, and a flat Boulder car service rate absorbs a three-hour drive that should have taken two. Published routes sit on the rate card, and the same $650 covers Vail and Breckenridge.

A Ford Transit High Roof takes fourteen. Full specifications on the fleet page.
Traction Law Applies Every Race Day
CDOT enforces the Passenger Vehicle Traction Law from 1 September to 31 May on this exact corridor, and the requirements cover tread depth and tyre type even on all-wheel drive vehicles. Rental fleets frequently fall short.
Every Mayflower Boulder Limo vehicle is four-wheel drive and compliant year-round, and dispatch monitors COtrip through storm cycles.
Making a Weekend of It
Birds of Prey Way Village runs beer tastings, live music, race watch parties and ski films alongside the racing. Plenty of groups stay over and ski between races.
A Boulder limo service booking covers corporate hospitality, VIP guests and celebration weekends via our special events page. For a day moving between the finish stadium, village and restaurants, a Boulder limo service booked by the hour works better than point-to-point, and a Boulder limo service account bills monthly through our corporate travel page.

Flying In for the Races
Our Denver airport car service runs a flat $270 with live flight tracking and complimentary wait time, and connects straight to the valley. A Denver airport car service quote is flat whatever time you land, and a combined Denver airport car service and resort booking means one operator across the trip — see the airport transfer page.
Mayflower Boulder Limo Chauffeur Service Standards
Mayflower Boulder Limo is certified by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, carries the highest insurance limits in the state, and holds a ★ 4.97 rating.
Our Boulder chauffeur service runs background-checked, mountain-trained chauffeurs with GPS fleet tracking. A Boulder chauffeur service that drives this corridor weekly knows when a forecast means leaving ninety minutes early, and any Boulder chauffeur service that has run I-70 since 2000 knows a Sunday eastbound return is the harder half.

Booking Race Weekends
Both weekends fall in the first fortnight of December, when the season is opening and the whole Front Range is already booking. Three to four weeks minimum, and earlier for the Sprinter or Transit.
Book the return with the outbound — Sunday eastbound is the leg that disappears. Every Boulder transportation service reservation is confirmed in writing with free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead, and beyond fourteen guests a Boulder transportation service booking runs multiple vehicles on one itinerary so the group arrives together. A Boulder transportation service quote covers the whole party in one number.
Our wider mountain work sits on the ski resort transfers page, and the full season planner on our 2026/27 ski shuttle guide.
